An acolyte is one who is ordained to serve the clergy in the Holy Altar. AMOSS aims to create awareness in the faith, tradition and practices in the Holy Qurbana, other sacraments and important days of Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church amongst the Acolytes.

Altar assistance is one of the central pillars for the conduct of the Holy Eucharist and other ceremonies during Holy Service. They help in conducting the worship and assisting the Vicar to maintain the ways of worship as it has been done for centuries.
