Sunday School

Mar Baselious Gregorios Indian Orthodox Church Southampton

The Sunday School is one of the principal services of MBGIOC’s to the community. The primary intention of the service is to nurture the children in the Orthodox Christian faith and help them to build strong foundations for their life and become faithful stanchions of the church.

The Vicar is the head of the Sunday School. All the Sunday School teachers are appointed by the Vicar. The classes are held online for a duration of at least 1 hour every school.

The Sunday School program began in January 2024 and now has 45 registered children  and over 14 dedicated teachers.

The Sunday School is blessed with many talented children who participate in the unit level and zonal level competitions such as singing and elocution.
